Finished my first year of university. I have definitely learned a lot in just a short period of time. The condensed nature of university had forced me to make some tough decisions with my art. Some worked well, and others didn't, but such is the nature of things. Looking forward to a long summer, and continuing my studies in visual arts, anthropology, and diaspora and transnational studies. Everything lends itself to each other, and I find great inspiration from my social science/humanities minors to fuel my art.

Summer has finally begun, officially. Two months of goals, and imagined works of art, with so little time to achieve them. I'm excited to have some time to sit down and create things for my own enjoyment, instead of for an assignment, or a gift or for any other reason. I feel like I'm anticipating more free time than I will actually receive...
